On the evening of March 7, 2025, The Modernists hosted an exclusive Gala at The Walbrook Club, a renowned private members' venue in London. This special event celebrated International Women's Day with insightful panel discussions and meaningful connections, creating an inspiring atmosphere for all who attended. 

The evening hosted by Abena Aboagye, founder of The Sunday Evening Podcast, this panel explored the intersection of vulnerability and leadership, highlighting the importance of embracing vulnerability as a strength in leadership. 

The first panel discussion, focusing on Leadership & Wellness, featured three remarkable women: 

• Sama Trinder – Founder of bhuti, a lifestyle and wellness brand, and the renowned Bingham Riverhouse Members Club, boutique hotel, and award-winning restaurant. 

• Lisa Franklin – Founder of the acclaimed Lisa Franklin Clinique Privé, a leader in luxury skincare. 

• Anna Kalbasko – Founder of Inner Work Agency, dedicated to personal and professional transformation. 

These inspiring leaders shared their perspectives on balancing leadership roles with wellness, providing valuable insights and practical advice for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. 

The second panel, centered on Leadership & Vulnerability, brought together accomplished women who are redefining success across various industries: 

• Michelle Devits – Founder of ThirtySix Productions, a luxury marketing expert crafting storytelling-driven campaigns. 

• Melissa Dewar – Founder of The Modernists, philanthropist, and TEDx speaker. 

• Somy Madani – Award-winning Fashion Designer, Founder of Somy London. 

The event highlighted the importance of embracing feminine energy in leadership, emphasizing that authentic leadership stems from leveraging unique qualities rather than conforming to traditional expectations. It also underscored the need to overcome self-doubt through deliberate action, even amidst uncertainty, and the crucial role of celebrating achievements to foster innovation and sustain motivation.
