The year 2024 has been nothing short of extraordinary. If someone had told me at its outset that I would leave my full-time job to focus entirely on a burgeoning side project, I would have dismissed it as improbable.

The Modernists know how to organise a great event, and their James Bond-inspired Christmas dinner was another testament to that. On a chilly Saturday night in November, the Home Grown Club came alive with festive energy and style. 

"What exactly is the kitchen rule?" was perhaps the most frequently asked question at The Modernists' October gathering at Kensington Pickleball Club. As it turns out, learning this increasingly popular sport's quirky rules became half the entertainment at what proved to be a delightfully engaging evening.
